Infirm Opinions (2009)

Turkeys have spent most of the last two or three years pointing out to me that they have characteristics, habits, and patterns of behavior that I never realized they possessed.  While I may have improved somewhat from the position I occupied seventy years ago when it was first pointed out to me that the noise I heard from across the river was a turkey gobbling, not a dog barking, the last two or three years seem to have been downhill all the way.

The path across the first few years of the 21st century definitely has more rocks in it than the path did during the last few years of the 20th.  It may be that I have finally arrived at a decent estimate of just how little I really know (about turkeys). Welcome to the rock pile.
